My Policy

“ My Policy is that I strictly oppose the euthanasia of any creature with a heart fresh with life”.

There is an exception to this rule and that is if an animal is suffering, without hope of a cure, then euthanasia may be performed.   In this instance it is better to release the animal from its life of pain, misery and suffering.

I.H.S.A.N is run with kindness, compassion, gentility and humility.   It is not about power or prestigious offices or uniforms.  Sometimes those who work with animals have little people skills, except when asking for money.   I do not like this.

I.H.S.A.N is not run as a charity.   The reason for this is that I do not believe in exploiting the kindnesses of volunteers who work so hard for no reward.   In fact, as a Muslim, it is forbidden.  This is usury.  Islam says:   “Pay your workers before their sweat dries”, not use them as a means to an end where a chief executive receives substantial remuneration whilst the rest work for a low wage or no wage.   I cannot see anything charitable in this. I reiterate that this is usury and is forbidden under Islamic Law.  There will be no interest gained on funds as this is also forbidden.    Money should be in circulation and not kept for the private benefits of a few.

Although I.H.S.A.N is run by a Muslim Convert, it is for anybody and everybody in the UK and beyond.

Some of the wording under “My Guidance” is based on the teachings and writings of Hasrat Imam Ali.  Also the guidance of Al-Hafiz B. A. Masri, who was the first Sunni Imam of the Shah Jehan Mosque, Woking, UK.   This Imam has studied the Qu’ran and memorised it in its entirety – a learned scholar of Islam indeed.   His depth of knowledge is respected.   His book is called “Animals in Islam”.

The meaning of the word “IHSAN” is “realisation”.
