The Islamic Humane Society for Animals
(I.H.S.A.N)
I strictly oppose the needless euthanasia of any creature with a heart fresh with life.
"Are you not aware that it is Ullah whose limitless glory all creatures that are in the heavens and on earth celebrate, even the birds as they spread their wings? Each of them knows its own way of prayer and praise, and Ullah knows well all that they do." Qu'ran Surah 24.41

My Aim

Is to raise the profile and awareness of Animals Rights in Islam generally.
To gently remind All of animals rights.
To gently remind those who may have forgotten that if we treat animals with kindness and compassion, they serve us better anyway.
To raise funds for mobile veterinary units for sick and injured animals in Islamic countries.
To help the low waged or the unwaged with funding for veterinary care and that no creature is killed purely from lack of funds in the UK and beyond.
To use funds for saving the lives of unwanted or sick animals in the UK without using euthanasia.  Why rescue an animal that has been cruelly treated, only to murder it somewhere down the line?  That is the “ultimate failure of compassion”!
To use funds for housing those who lose their homes and who find it impossible to secure accommodation with pets.
My Aim is to help people with animals as opposed to bullying them over their animals.
As with humans in times of stress, in changes of situations and hardship, animals too can be exposed to sometimes unintentional abuse and may become neglected.  I am here to help in the strictest confidence.
The Aim is to be non-judgemental, and to rush to the aid of those in need with their animals, because Islam says:  “When part of the body is aching, the rest of the body rushes to its aid.
To remind everyone that all creatures are “sentient”.

We have an obligation towards animals.   Let us not forget that obligation amidst human suffering.
